As I can’t seem to find anywhere to directly email Mr Hickey I would like to point out that this podcast was named checked by two members of Tenacious D who are currently on tour in Britain it was done at the ao Arena in Manchester during the band call.

Thank you for defending Ronnie, whose talent was wasted by spite.

So fascinating. Joe Meek was a true genius and it is such a shame that he didn’t live to see what he started. Where would psychedelic music be without him? He died in the year that homosexuality ceased to be a crime, and his mental health would shortly have improved when he was allowed to come out of the closet. I was a child when Telstar dominated the charts and I still love it. The Tornadoes were a great band.

Wonderful episode, but you really let me down when you said that false rape accusations don’t happen.

The first gig I ever went to was Harvey and the Wallbangers in 1985. If I remember aright, they opened with Sh- Boom, and it was a mix of the Chords version and that of the Crew Cuts. One other point - Bo Diddley didn’t invent anything. He just took the rhythms played by the clave in Latin music and played them on guitar.

Well researched and informative. However warnings of potentially offensive content are absurd. Eg a 4 letter word meaning faeces. Laughable.
