1 Timothy 4:6-16
If we trust the Lord and obey his word in making disciples, then we will see God provide:
A. Many Faithful Ministers (v. 6-11)
Characteristics of a Good and Faithful Servant:
1. He instructs the church in the truth.
2. He is well-nourished in the truth.
3. He practices what he preaches.
4. He rejects foolish myths and old-wives fables.
5. He trains himself in godliness.
6. He is a hard worker.
7. He is willing to suffer reproach.
8. He teaches the bible with authority.
B. More Fruitful Ministry (v. 12-16)
Characteristics of Leadership in the Church:
1. Leaders set a good example.
2. Leaders nurture biblical ministry.
3. Leaders fulfill their calling.
4. Leaders devote themselves to shepherding.
5. Leaders develop and mature in the work of the gospel.
6. Leaders persevere to the end.
